The program
Salient Concepts LLC operates Aria, a private home AI assistant for one household. Aria sends account notifications by text message, only to members of that household who have opted in and been registered by the account administrator. There is no public sign-up, no marketing and no promotional content.
Messages come from +1 888-604-1069 or +1 646-904-8194.
How to opt in
Opt-in happens in person, with the account administrator. Before registering a phone number, the administrator reads the member these terms:
"By providing your phone number, you agree to receive SMS account notifications from Aria by Salient Concepts LLC, including timer and reminder alerts, home status updates and answers to your questions. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time. Reply HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of any purchase."
Only after the member agrees does the administrator register the number. Aria then sends this confirmation:
Aria by Salient Concepts: You are subscribed to home automation notifications. Reply HELP for help. Msg frequency varies. Msg&data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out.
What we send
Account notifications to registered household members: timer and reminder alerts, home status updates, alerts about the household's own equipment to the account owner, and answers when a registered member texts Aria a question. Examples:
- Aria: Your 10 minute timer is done. Reply STOP to opt out.
- Aria: The garage door has been open for 30 minutes. Reply STOP to opt out.
- Aria: Nightly backup on the home server failed at 02:00. Reply STOP to opt out.
Frequency and rates
Message frequency varies with the household's use, typically a few messages a week. Message and data rates from your wireless carrier may apply.
Stop, help and restart
Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe; you will receive one confirmation and nothing more. Reply HELP for help, or email sc01@salient-concepts.com. Reply START to resubscribe.
